The MISS Foundation Conference 2005

The MISS Foundation's conference, on perinatal and pediatric death and parental bereavement support, will be held from May 26-29, 2005 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Continuing education credits will be provided for professionals and some clinical and family scholarships or partial scholarships are available.

The retreat also features a grieving "Kids Kamp" utilizing art and music therapies, talk and share sessions, and many fun activities for bereaved children.

The event is sponsored by the Elisabeth Kubler-Ross Foundation.

The Compassionate Friends
Grief support after the death of a child.  Offers friendship, understanding, and hope to bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings.

Center for Loss in Multiple Birth
Organisation set up by parents throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and beyond who have experienced the death of one or more, both or all of their twins or higher multiples at any time from conception through birth, infancy and childhood.

Hygeia  
Enables participation in an exchange of stories and thoughts on messageboards and in a private, international e-mail community between those who have experienced the grieving of a pregnancy loss, intrauterine death, stillborn infant, or other perinatal, neonatal and early childhood loss.

Loss of an Infant

Miscarriage Support Auckland
Run by a team of volunteers of various ages who have all experienced the loss of their own babies and would like to provide emotional support and information for women and their families during and after miscarriage and subsequent pregnancies. The MISS Foundation
MISS is a nonprofit, volunteer based organization committed to providing emergency support to families in crisis after the death of their baby or young child from any cause.   They help families cope with the resultant feelings of overwhelming grief and loss.

MissingGRACE
Organisation offers pregnancy and infant loss support, as well as infertility and adoption support. Also strives to educate parents about their role in stillbirth prevention in their own pregnancies.

Morning Light Ministry
Morning Light Ministry is a Catholic ministry, open to all Christians and others, for parents who have experienced the death of their baby through ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, stillbirth or infant death. No cost to parents seeking help. Also support for adverse prenatal diagnosis.

North Carolina, USA
The Pregnancy Loss Support Group of Catawba Valley meets at 6:00 PM on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at the Hickoy Chiropractic clinic, Hickory, North Carolina.  The group is facilitated by Janet Shores, RN, who has worked with families experiencing infertility and fetal/newborn loss for more than ten years.  The support group allows anyone touched by fetal or newborn 
loss to seek and accept support, learn about grief and express and accept feelings about the loss.
