Can you help us?

We're looking for volunteers to help with Awareness campaign events across the UK in October 2009.

Perhaps you're part of a local support group willing to arrange an informal act of remembrance on October 15th, or to help coordinate a balloon release in memory of babies lost during pregnancy, at birth or shortly afterwards.

We'll give you all the support you need (you don't need to be part of a group - we can put you in touch with other local volunteers).  For more information, please email our campaign coordinator.

Baby Loss Awareness campaign

Baby Loss Awareness campaign 2009

People whose lives have been touched by the loss of a baby during pregnancy or just after birth will unite with others across the UK to show their support for the Baby Loss Awareness campaign 2009, focusing on International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day on October 15th.

As in previous years, we are supporting a number of events across the UK.  Our volunteers are organising a range of services of remembrance, fundraising activities and events.

Health and social care workers are invited to get involved by displaying our posters, information leaflets and ribbon pins in their clinics and surgeries.

Ribbon pins are available in return for a suggested minimum donation of £1.

We hope that the Awareness campaign will give bereaved parents, their families and friends the opportunity to commemorate the brief lives of their babies. Those who have purchased a ribbon pin will also be supporting the organisations in their vital work with bereaved families and health and social care workers.
